Description
The Principal Operations Inspector serves as the primary FAA interface for assigned air carriers, air operators, air agencies, airmen, and designees, overseeing general aviation operations programs under Title 14 CFR. The role independently plans and executes programs, develops technical procedures and policies, resolves operational problems, coordinates with management and other inspectors, prepares technical correspondence, and participates in FAA flight programs. It requires U.S. citizenship, a valid state driver's license, English fluency, a high school diploma or equivalent, and substantial aviation experience, including at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-I/FG-13 level and, for general aviation operations, extensive flight-instruction and pilot qualifications.
