Description
The Principal Operations Inspector serves as the primary FAA interface for assigned air carriers, air operators, air agencies, airmen, designees, and other aviation organizations, overseeing general aviation operations programs and advanced multiengine turbojet aircraft. The role establishes technical procedures, evaluates flight operations programs, exercises certificate authority, resolves safety and regulatory issues, and plans and directs operational programs. It requires U.S. citizenship, specialized aviation safety inspection experience, extensive flight instruction and flying qualifications, and the ability to report to an FAA/AVS facility; telework is not 100% available.
