Vast is hiring an Avionics System Test Engineer II in its Long Beach location to support the development of automated testing systems for satellites and human-rated space stations. The role focuses on Hardware-in-the-Loop and Hardware-in-the-Loop test assets, test case development, equipment procurement and integration, troubleshooting, design reviews, documentation, and mentoring junior engineers. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or another hard science, at least five years of post-bachelor’s experience developing hardware test systems, and expertise with Linux, electronic test equipment, fault-tolerant software, and root-cause analysis. The position is full-time and exempt, with a stated pay range of $121,000 to $183,260 USD in California and medical, dental, and vision coverage.
