Description

Blue Origin is seeking an Avionics Systems Engineer to join their Lunar Permanence business unit. This role involves defining, capturing, and managing mission-specific system requirements and verification artifacts for avionics systems in human-rated lunar spacecraft. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to establish technical requirements and verify spacecraft performance, focusing on verification planning and execution for avionics designs.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical field.
Required Previous Experiences: Experience with requirements management tools like DOORS, Jama, etc.
5+ years of Systems Engineering experience, covering requirements definition, traceability, interface definition, design documentation, integration, verification, and validation.
Preferred Qualifications: Spacecraft analysis and/or test background.
Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering.
Familiarity with System Modeling tools like Cameo Systems Modeler.
Experience across the entire product life cycle, from conceptual design to operational support.
Software or scripting language experience.
Knowledge of collaboration tools like Confluence and JIRA.
Working knowledge of standards such as DO-254, DO-178, DO-160, SMC-S-016, NASA 7150.2, or others related to hardware/software assurance, verification, and test.
Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
