Description
The Avionics Maintenance Technician installs, inspects, tests, adjusts, and repairs avionics equipment such as radio, radar, and navigation systems; troubleshoots aircraft systems using wiring diagrams and maintenance manuals; plans and executes avionics installations; operates ground support and test equipment; and maintains accurate work records. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, at least 18 months of relevant narrow- and wide-body aircraft experience, and familiarity with avionics techniques, terminology, and parts. An Airframe and Powerplant certificate, Airframe Familiarization course certificates, and an FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License are preferred.
