Description
K2 Space is seeking a highly skilled Avionics Technician to join their team. This role involves developing and producing avionics systems for their large-scale satellite platforms, requiring expertise in reworking high-reliability PCBAs, collaborating with engineers, and supporting testing infrastructure. Responsibilities include precision soldering, modifying PCBs, fabricating test harnesses, and providing training to other technicians. The ideal candidate will possess over five years of soldering experience, proficiency with essential tools like soldering irons and hot air stations, and familiarity with IPC standards. While some experience with IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, J-STD-001, and NASA-STD-8739.3, schematic reading, and various potting techniques is preferred, it is not mandatory. The compensation includes an hourly rate between $38-$48 plus equity, along with comprehensive benefits such as PTO, medical/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, and paid parental leave. Candidates should be prepared to work extended hours and weekends.
