Description
SpaceX is hiring an Avionics Test Engineer (Starshield) to design, develop, and maintain custom test systems for satellite flight hardware, including electronics, optics, RF antennas, modulators, and electromechanical components. The role involves selecting commercial-off-the-shelf hardware, designing custom PCBAs, writing Python automation software, coordinating with design and manufacturing teams, and troubleshooting test anomalies. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline, at least one year of electronic or software development experience, and one year of Python, MATLAB, or Embedded C/C++ programming experience. Preferred qualifications include circuit analysis, PCB troubleshooting, RF testing, environmental testing, and clearance eligibility. The position offers a base salary of $105,000–$140,000 for Level 1 and $120,000–$170,000 for Level 2, plus medical, vision, dental, retirement, disability, life, paid leave, and other benefits.
