Description
The Brandywine Assistant Vice President Manager oversees a team of claim professionals handling complex asbestos, long-term exposure, and environmental claims, while also managing a portfolio of accounts and full claim-handling responsibilities. The role includes reviewing claim work, setting objectives, managing investigations, negotiating cost-sharing agreements, assigning defense counsel, overseeing litigation strategy and budgets, preparing reports, and mentoring staff. It requires at least 10 years of relevant experience, a four-year college degree, and experience managing defense counsel and disputed or litigated coverage matters; asbestos and environmental claims, law degrees, decision-tree analysis, and significant Excel and data-management experience are preferred. Some travel may be required.
