Description

AWS is hiring a Controls Engineer to design, deploy, optimize, and maintain Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) automation for AWS data centers. The role manages controls scope, MEP drawings, bills of materials, vendor and project contracts, root-cause analysis, maintenance, control logic, and graphical user interfaces, while requiring a valid driver’s license and domestic and international travel of at least 25%. The position requires a relevant bachelor’s degree and extensive industrial controls and project or vendor management experience, with a base salary of $111,300 to $186,100 USD annually in Boling, Texas.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of relevant controls experience
10+ years of relevant controls experience in lieu of a degree
5+ years with industrial controls in a critical environment
4+ years of general project or vendor management experience associated with construction and project execution
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Experience with MQTT, BACnet, and/or MODBUS
Understanding of engineering documentation, electrical and mechanical diagrams, and standard operating procedures
Ability to manage multiple stakeholder deliverables and navigate difficult situations
Experience designing data centers or critical MEP infrastructure
Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Prior AWS or Amazon experience
