AWS is hiring a Relational Database Service (RDS) PostgreSQL Engineer to work on the core database engineering team that builds, improves, and manages PostgreSQL as a fully managed service. The role involves customer escalations, feature design, implementation, validation, performance improvements, root-cause resolution, automation, code reviews, open-source contributions, and cross-functional collaboration. Candidates need at least 10 years of PostgreSQL experience and at least 5 years operating PostgreSQL systems; operational excellence experience is preferred. The position is available in East Palo Alto, California; Dallas, Texas; and Redmond, Washington, with annual base salaries ranging from $145,900 to $227,000 depending on location.
