AWS is hiring a Relational Database Service (RDS) PostgreSQL Engineer to work on the core database engineering team that builds, improves, and manages PostgreSQL as a fully managed service. The role involves customer escalations, feature design and implementation, performance improvements, defect resolution, automation, code reviews, open-source contributions, and cross-functional collaboration. Candidates need at least 10 years of PostgreSQL experience, at least 5 years operating PostgreSQL systems, and experience working with customers on PostgreSQL usage. The position is available in East Palo Alto, California; Dallas, Texas; and Redmond, Washington, with base salaries ranging from $145,900 to $227,000 annually depending on location.
