Description
The Relief Operator B is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt production role in New Castle, Delaware, responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used to manufacture bleach and chlor-alkali products. The position primarily covers B Operator vacancies and assists plant operations when no vacancy exists, with work weeks alternating between 36 and 48 hours. Duties include monitoring and adjusting process parameters, sampling, equipment inspection and maintenance, responding to alarms, loading and unloading chemicals and railcars, maintaining tank and utility systems, operating the salt recovery system, and completing operational logs. The role requires a high school or GED, one year of chemical manufacturing experience, controlled-substance and background checks, and the ability to perform physically demanding work in an outdoor chemical manufacturing environment.
