Pylon is hiring a Back End Engineer to join its API team and help design, build, document, and maintain a GraphQL API for mortgage workflows. The role focuses on semantic modeling, event-driven architecture, developer experience, API versioning, and handling nonlinear, path-dependent mortgage flows. The technology stack includes TypeScript, GraphQL, NestJS, PostgreSQL, Temporal.io, event-driven architecture, and AI-driven development tooling. The position is based in Palo Alto, California, with a base salary of $140,000 to $220,000 per year plus equity and benefits.
