Description
The Backend Engineer will own and grow the service behind Apple's marketplace and plugin ecosystem, including the registry, API, database, plugin catalog, content-hosting pipelines, authentication, and supply-chain checks. The role spans schema design, data and distributed systems, reliability, cloud services, production hardening, staging and rollout practices, and collaboration with client-side harness and security teams. Candidates need at least five years of software-engineering experience deploying large-scale systems, experience with data-centric, distributed, reliable, and cloud systems, hands-on large-system development, applied machine learning or data engineering experience, and a bachelor's degree in computer science or related experience.
