Description
Otter is hiring a Backend Engineer to design, build, and optimize backend systems, APIs, and services that support mission-critical applications for online food delivery. The role focuses on scalable infrastructure, platform tooling, and product backend work, with core responsibilities including architecture, performance, reliability, security, code reviews, testing, documentation, and mentoring. Candidates should have backend programming experience in Java or Go, familiarity with databases and cloud platforms, and knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems; senior candidates are preferred to have Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevOps, and leadership experience. The position is based in Otter’s Aarhus office and is onsite five days a week.
