Charlie Health is hiring a Backend Engineer to build and improve products that support group-based behavioral health facilitators. The role focuses on developing performant features with React, Python, and PostgreSQL; establishing engineering patterns; collaborating with product and design; improving engineering processes; mentoring teammates; and participating in an on-call rotation. Candidates need at least five years of professional experience developing user-facing web applications, production experience with an application programming language, strong ambiguity-management and technical-tradeoff skills, and experience using modern AI tooling. The role is hybrid, with candidates within 75 minutes of the New York City office expected to work from the office four days per week, and offers a target base compensation of $170,000 to $220,000 per year.
