Footprint is hiring a Backend Engineer to own API and service design, product areas from ideation through production, and the agent-shaped backend work for Percy, its financial-crime investigation platform. The role reports to the Head of Engineering and requires at least four years of backend systems experience, including production API ownership, debugging, security and privacy considerations, and tradeoff analysis. The stack includes Rust, Python, Postgres, Pulumi, and AWS.
