Description
HelloFresh is hiring a Backend Engineer for its Toronto team to design and deliver scalable backend platforms and distributed systems, including AI-assisted and agentic engineering workflows. The role covers technical discovery, solution architecture, AI-enabled development workflows, architectural leadership, engineering mentorship, and standards for observability, quality engineering, and system reliability. Candidates should have experience with microservices, event-driven systems, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, relational and document databases, backend languages such as Golang, Python, or Java, and AI technologies. The position offers a flexible hybrid arrangement with at least two office days per week and a Toronto pay range of CAD 170,000–215,000.
