Papaya is hiring a backend engineer for its WildCard product-facing backend squad in Tel Aviv. The role owns high-scale backend systems for millions of users, including the Store, Collectibles, Ranking & Seasons, Friends social layer, and in-game economy. Responsibilities include end-to-end solution design and production, system reliability, API scalability, production debugging, and using AI coding agents. The technology stack is AWS, Kubernetes, Node.js, TypeScript, Redis, and MySQL, with a requirement for at least three years of complex server application experience and a relevant bachelor's degree.
