PayPay is hiring a full-time Backend Engineer to join a new organization and be seconded to PayPay Bank for a full-scratch core banking system renewal. The role develops and operates Java/Kotlin backend applications, designs architectures and middleware, tunes and monitors microservices, and addresses infrastructure and reliability challenges. The position requires 3–5 years of backend development experience, Java proficiency, database and web-application experience, business-level English, and hands-on experience with AI/LLM tools.
