Polymarket is hiring a Backend Engineer to build detection, monitoring, and case-management systems for AML/BSA, KYC/EDD, and sanctions-screening obligations at scale. The role partners with Compliance, Risk, and Legal to translate regulatory requirements into engineering systems, integrates trade-surveillance and case-management platforms, structures audit-grade data pipelines, reconciles financial data, and develops real-time risk decisioning and transaction-monitoring systems. Candidates should have backend engineering experience in compliance or risk technology, preferably in fintech or crypto exchanges, with experience in financial-data modeling, trade surveillance, and regulatory systems. The position offers a base salary of $250,000 to $500,000 annually plus equity and benefits.
