Veeva Systems is hiring a Backend Engineer to design and deliver scalable backend services for its SaaS platform. The role involves architecting high-performance APIs, collaborating on product features, maintaining code quality through testing and clean architecture, optimizing application and database performance, evaluating backend technologies, and resolving live system issues. Candidates need at least five years of software engineering experience shipping production code for B2B or B2C SaaS products, five or more years of Python and Django expertise, strong relational database skills, preferably PostgreSQL, and strong communication and teamwork abilities.
