The role involves maintaining cloud infrastructure, participating in architecture and code reviews, performing operational maintenance, and recommending improvements. Candidates need at least five years of software development or programming experience, strong distributed systems knowledge, Java and Spring Boot experience, SQL skills, computer science fundamentals, and familiarity with modern software development lifecycle methodologies.
