DoorDash is hiring a Backend Engineer to work on Product and Product Platform teams, developing and operating large-scale web applications, defining backend architecture, improving system performance and reliability, and transitioning from monolithic to microservice-based architecture. The role requires a degree in Computer Science or equivalent, backend technology experience, AI coding tool proficiency, REST and service-oriented architecture knowledge, and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. It is hybrid with some in-office time, reports to an Engineering Manager, and offers base salary of $120,000–$231,500 CAD depending on location and experience, plus equity and benefits.
