N26 is hiring a Backend Software Engineer in its Berlin hub to design, build, deploy, monitor, and optimize microservice-based banking software using Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot. The role owns the full software lifecycle, contributes to technical documentation and product discovery, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and supports onboarding, code reviews, and knowledge sharing. Candidates should have backend engineering experience, proficiency in Java or Kotlin and microservice patterns, knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases and AWS, and the ability to handle deployments, bug fixing, and production monitoring.
