Neo4j is seeking an experienced backend engineer to join their Kernel team, focusing on developing the core of their graph database, including storage engines, transaction handling, indexes, data import, and page cache. The role involves building new features, writing high-quality code, promoting new ideas, and integrating research into the database core. The ideal candidate will have experience designing multi-threaded systems, a deep understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms, and proficiency in Java or a C-style programming language. The position is for an international team based in Malmö and London.
