Description
Proximity is hiring a Java Backend Engineer for a 6-month contractual role focused on the Subscriptions and Payments ecosystem, including Fire TV In-App Purchase capabilities. The engineer will design and build scalable Java and Spring Boot microservices, REST APIs, transaction-processing systems, event-driven workflows, and observability infrastructure; integrate with app stores, payment providers, and external platforms; and troubleshoot production issues in high-throughput, distributed systems. The role requires 4–7 years of backend engineering experience, strong Java and microservices development, distributed-systems knowledge, database and messaging experience, and familiarity with cloud, containerization, and CI/CD technologies.
