MDPI is hiring an Intermediate Backend Engineer (Python) to design, develop, and operate scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines for the MDPI Pulse initiative. The role involves Python development, database and data-engineering work, production deployment with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD, testing, code reviews, and observability. It requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, approximately five years of backend or software engineering experience, strong Python and SQL skills, and excellent English. The position is on-site in Serbia.
