Taxwire is hiring a Backend Engineer to design and build the foundational backend systems for its global indirect-tax platform. The role focuses on backend services, data modeling, tax calculation and compliance logic, automation pipelines, and scalable systems across jurisdictions. It requires 5–10+ years of professional software engineering experience, strong backend and systems-architecture expertise, and proficiency with Python, FastAPI, Pydantic, pandas, duckdb, Postgres, SQL, and AWS.
