EventConnect is hiring a full-time Backend Engineering Manager in London, Ontario, with a hybrid schedule requiring three office days after onboarding. The role leads backend projects from concept through production, owns core PHP product features, designs scalable APIs and services, makes backend architecture decisions, mentors developers, and improves reliability through testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and technical-debt work. Candidates need at least eight years of PHP experience, substantial SQL/RDBMS experience, and a proven record of leading projects and mentoring developers.
