Description
OKAPI:Orbits is hiring a backend software engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable asynchronous microservice backends for space mission design, space situational awareness, space traffic management, flight dynamics, and space traffic coordination. The role works primarily with Python on external customer projects and Java Spring Boot on company products, processing large volumes of orbital, telemetry, and mission data in cloud-native environments. Responsibilities include message-based service communication, backend architecture, testing, CI/CD, observability, automation, security, and troubleshooting distributed systems in collaboration with space engineers and scientists.
