OKAPI:Orbits is hiring a backend software engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable asynchronous microservice backends for space-mission products and customer projects. The role uses Python extensively and Java Spring Boot for company products, processes large volumes of orbital, telemetry, and mission data, and involves message-based communication, cloud-native deployment, CI/CD, observability, testing, security, and distributed-system troubleshooting in collaboration with space engineers and scientists.
