Description
Spendesk is hiring a Backend Software Engineer (IC3) for its AI & Data Products squad to design, build, and operate backend services, APIs, and MCPs that integrate predictive models, LLM capabilities, and intelligent automation into user-facing workflows. The role partners with ML Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, and applicative squads to productionize AI features, ensure reliability and observability, and own deployment and maintenance. It requires strong TypeScript/Node.js backend engineering, API and distributed-systems experience, and familiarity with technologies such as Kafka, SQS, Step Functions, PostgreSQL, and AWS. The role is primarily based in Paris, London, or Barcelona with a flexible hybrid setup; outstanding remote candidates may be considered, and the position is not remote-first.
