Exadel is hiring a backend software engineer for an international transportation technology client building scalable digital solutions for rail operations. The role focuses on designing and maintaining high-performance backend services, evolving a high-volume Search platform, solving distributed-systems challenges, migrating services from PHP to Java, improving observability and CI/CD, and owning solutions through production. The position requires strong Java/JVM and PHP experience, Kubernetes, AWS, MySQL, Kafka, scalable distributed systems, testing, and Agile collaboration. Work may be in-office, hybrid, or remote depending on location and contract type.
