Hays is hiring a Backend Software Engineer in Leipzig to develop modern backend services, REST APIs, automated workflows, and reliable data and message processing. The role requires an IT-related degree or comparable technical qualification, Node.js and TypeScript experience, familiarity with REST and API design, workflow or orchestration experience, PostgreSQL experience, and confident German communication. The position offers a permanent 38-hour contract, flexible office or remote work with at least one on-site day per week, vacation, a health center, and subsidized meals.
