OPTIMUSE is hiring a Backend Software Engineer to integrate building-engine prototypes into a production platform. The role involves running and improving Engines, assessing production readiness, decomposing monolithic functions, defining interfaces and data contracts, and collaborating with Planning, Systems Architects, DevOps, App/Experience, AI, and Data & Flows teams. The position requires several years of full-stack software engineering experience with a backend focus, strong Python and TypeScript skills, the ability to evaluate scientific and numerical code, and a collaborative approach to explaining trade-offs to domain experts.
