AgileEngine is hiring a Backend Software Engineer to build and maintain PHP-based backend systems, APIs, integrations, and distributed services. The role focuses on clean, modular, testable code; secure authentication and authorization; performance optimization; debugging; and collaboration with product, architecture, QA, and support teams. Candidates need a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, at least two years of PHP production experience, knowledge of OOP and database technologies, and familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and containerized environments. The position offers a flexible hybrid arrangement with options to work from home or go to the office.
