Signal Ocean is hiring a Software Engineer to build and maintain scalable Python backend data services for its freight and commodities intelligence platform. The role involves developing production-ready microservices, converting data science prototypes into tested and observable code, maintaining existing services, and improving code quality and monitoring. Candidates need at least three years of professional software engineering experience, strong computer science fundamentals, Python and FastAPI skills, SQL experience, and familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
