Description
The Emergency Medical Technician responds to emergency service requests, operates and maintains emergency vehicles, assesses and stabilizes ill or injured patients, provides first aid and basic life support, administers medications and IV therapy, transports patients to the Emergency Department, and assists physicians and nurses. The role requires a high school education, successful completion of an EMT training program, current EMT and Basic Life Support certification, and no prior experience.
