Shield AI is hiring a Battery Pack Design Engineer to own the design of a new battery pack from concept through production. The role covers performance optimization, size, weight, manufacturing, reliability, prototyping, testing, qualification, requirements and specifications, assembly and 2D drawings, root-cause analysis, cross-functional architecture leadership, and mentorship. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent, at least five years of experience, expertise in mechanics, thermal design, and electronics, prior battery-product delivery, CAD modeling proficiency, and experience with various manufacturing processes. The position offers a full-time regular employee package with pay, bonus, benefits, and equity, or a temporary employee package with applicable benefits after 60 days.
