Electronic Arts is hiring a permanent Software Engineer for its Battlefield Positive Play team in Stockholm, Sweden. The role is hybrid, requiring three days per week onsite, and focuses on creating and maintaining game logic and tools that detect and prevent cheating, hacking, exploitation, toxicity, and other disruptive behaviors. Responsibilities include developing anti-cheat and integrity systems, documenting and escalating bad-actor cases, coordinating with game and EA teams, and improving moderation, anti-toxicity, and positive-play enforcement. Candidates need at least four years of software engineering, game development, or online gaming enforcement experience, familiarity with online gaming platforms and anti-cheat technologies, knowledge of cheating and countermeasures, modding experience, and proficiency in languages such as C++, C#, Java, or Python.
