Description
The University of Alabama is hiring two tenure-track Assistant Professors of Microbiology in the Department of Biological Sciences in Tuscaloosa. The positions are regular full-time, benefits-eligible, and begin August 16, 2027. Candidates will establish and lead a microbiology research program, develop externally funded research, mentor graduate and undergraduate students, collaborate with faculty and research institutes, and teach undergraduate and graduate courses. Applicants need a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in microbiology, biological sciences, or a closely related field, postdoctoral experience, and a strong scholarly publication record.
