JBS USA is hiring a Beef Modernization Sorter at its Plainwell, Michigan facility. The role performs precision straight-knife cuts on the harvest floor, evaluates anatomical, physiological, and pathological indicators, and makes decisions supporting food safety, product quality, presentation, and sanitary dressing standards. The position requires accuracy in a fast-paced production environment, collaboration with supervisors and USDA-FSIS inspectors, participation in food-safety training, and adherence to company procedures. Preferred experience includes harvest-floor knife work, while required abilities include knife sharpening, attention to detail, English communication, physical stamina, concentration, learning anatomy and disease processes, and teamwork.
