Description
The Behavior Intervention Specialist, Level 1 will design, implement, monitor, and adjust behavior management programs and individualized behavior support plans for up to 35 individuals with developmental disabilities across OPWDD ICF, group home, independent residence alternative, and day habilitation settings. The role conducts functional behavior assessments, trains direct support professionals and families, collects and analyzes behavioral data, supports crisis prevention, maintains compliance documentation, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams. It requires a master’s degree or equivalent OPWDD-approved qualification, at least three years of relevant experience, in-person work five days per week, and travel throughout Brooklyn.
