Description
The Behavior Support Specialist supports students and families with challenging behavior through positive behavior support, intervention planning, data collection and analysis, staff and family training, tutoring, and coordination with school teams. The role is part-time, 7.0 hours per day and 206 paid days per year, and requires an education or degree equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, three years of intensive behavior intervention experience, behavior data experience, and ESSA compliance. The position also requires a California Class C driver’s license, first aid and CPR certification, and successful completion of the district merit exam.
