Description
The Children’s Services of ACLD is hiring a full-time Behavior Support Specialist for its Bay Shore facility. The role supports children ages three to twenty-one in preschool and after-school programs by implementing positive behavioral interventions and Applied Behavior Analysis, including discrete trial instruction, data collection, prompting, functional communication training, and behavior modification plans. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least three years of experience serving children with autism or developmental disabilities, and the ability to supervise preschoolers and perform physical activities; some college, New York State Certified Behavior Analyst Assistant certification, Functional Behavioral Assessment experience, and bilingual ability are preferred. The role is 35 hours per week.
