Description
The Registered Behavior Technician provides behavior-analytic services in a home-based setting under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Responsibilities include building rapport with clients and families, teaching functional skills, using preventative strategies, responding to challenging behavior, recording data, communicating progress, and documenting shifts. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, reliable attendance and transportation, background-check eligibility, and training before working with clients; preferred qualifications include a related bachelor’s degree, human-services interest, naturalistic teaching experience, and familiarity with behavior-analytic principles. New hires receive extensive training, with ongoing training of at least two hours per week. The position is part-time, varied in schedule, in person, and pays $18-$22 per hour depending on experience.
