The Department of Developmental Services is hiring a Behavioral Direct Care Worker (Developmental Service Worker II) for the Evaluation and Stabilization Unit at the Wrentham Developmental Center in Wrentham, Massachusetts. The role provides direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who may exhibit challenging or extreme behaviors, monitors health and safety, documents incidents, advocates for residents, and supports behavioral and habilitative programs. The position is available on multiple shifts, including weekends, and requires mandatory overtime, flexible scheduling, and completion of the Proactive Approaches to Behavioral Challenges (PABC) training within six months. Preferred qualifications include PABC certification or trainer experience, experience with challenging behaviors, positive behavior support knowledge, calmness under stress, communication skills, Microsoft proficiency, and physical assistance capabilities.
