Description
The Behavioral Health Specialist supports a residential or inpatient eating-disorder milieu by facilitating therapeutic skills and activity groups, providing therapeutic meal support, assisting clients in managing their eating disorder, maintaining a recovery-oriented environment, participating in treatment-team meetings, and completing clinical documentation. The role is full-time onsite at 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week) and pays $20.00–$22.00 per hour. A bachelor’s degree in a mental, behavioral, counseling, or behavioral sciences health-related field is strongly preferred, or an associate’s degree may be considered with equivalent experience; at least one year of direct patient care experience in a mental or behavioral health setting is required. Residential or inpatient employees must have a valid driver’s license, current Basic Life Support certification, and current First Aid certification.
