Description
The Behavioral Health Technician provides direct, one-on-one therapeutic care and monitoring to individuals with mental illness or substance use disorders in a multi-disciplinary treatment setting. Responsibilities include supporting recovery goals, accompanying patients, observing and documenting behavior, de-escalating situations, providing emotional support, assisting with daily activities, maintaining records, and monitoring medication administration. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR/BLS certification, completion of the Ohio Peer Recovery Support Specialist training within one year of hire, and strong communication, observation, organization, and stress-management skills.
